Brewed at Home is tailored around a modified vanilla experience with Create. Mods were chosen carefully for people who want to have a fun time building houses and contraptions without the fuss many Tinkers like.
The biggest feature of the mod is its emphasis on ease of use, and is specifically tailored to servers / groups who have a mix of players: some familiar with modding and others not. Many of the mods are included to be as non-intrusive as possible, while others are meant so that people familiar with mods can have an enjoyable experience while minimizing the impact on vanilla-style players.
