It is not required for 1.17 and below, but in those versions you must use the Biomes O' Plenty world type when creating a new world! To use the mod on a server for 1.18 and above, no changes to server.properties are required. For 1.15/1.16/1.17, the **level-type** setting in server.properties must be set to ***biomesoplenty*** (level-type can be added manually if it does not appear by default). For 1.12.2 and below, **level-type** must be set to ***BIOMESOP***.
