Ichthyology

Ichthyology is a Minecraft mod that adds many new fish and other aquatic animals to the waterways of your world! While these fish are largely ambient, different ones can have interesting behaviors, ranging from Carp begging for food to Piranhas stripping the flesh off undead mobs! All animals in the mod are based on real-world species. A complete list of animals and where they are found is below! Spoiler

African Cichlid - Deserts and all Savanna biomes

Angelfish - All Jungle biomes

Archerfish - Mangrove Swamps

Blind Cave Tetra - Any overworld cave below Y-level 30

Carp - Cherry Groves, Plains, and all Forest biomes

Catfish - Rivers

Crayfish - Rivers, Swamps, all Badlands biomes, and all overworld caves below Y-level 30

Discus - All Jungle biomes

Fiddler Crab - Mangrove Swamps

Flowerhorn - Can only be traded from Wandering Traders

Gar - Swamps

Goldfish - Cherry Groves, Plains, and all Forest biomes

Mudskipper - Mangrove Swamps

Neon Tetra - All Jungle biomes

Olm - Dripstone Caves

Peacock Bass - All Jungle biomes

Perch - Rivers, Frozen Rivers, and Swamps

Piranha - All Jungle biomes

Pleco - Swamps and all Jungle biomes

Sturgeon - Rivers and Frozen Rivers

Tilapia - All Savanna biomes
