This mod adds new ways to enjoy time with your Minecraft parrots. Keep an eye on them, try different activities together, and discover a new level of parrot friendship!

Give your Minecraft parrots a fresh feel with five unique cages, each with its own special twist to keep your birds safe and happy! 🪶

Watch their friendship level so they don’t fly off, and enjoy new ways to have fun with them through updated parrot mechanics. You’ll also hear brand new parrot sounds that make your friend feel more alive than ever!

Friendship is a new stat that keeps your parrot tame but slowly goes down over time. If it hits zero, you’ll lose that parrot’s trust forever. Each parrot has personal preferencies, like certain music, foods, or even specific players, which affects how fast you can restore its Friendship through activities. By shift right clicking your parrot, you can see its stats and check values for things like favorite records, favorite seed/food, favorite person and explored biomes. Keep the Friendship afloat for a few days, and your parrot will become a true friend that no longer loses Friendship. The mod will limit the amount of parrots each player can tame.

More activities and mechanics will be added as the mod grows.

Activities:

Listening to a jukebox:
Place a jukebox near the parrot (inside or outside the cage), and play the parrot’s favorite record to increase its friendship level.

Eating different types of seeds:
Its favorite seed will grant more friendship points.

Discovering different biomes:
Allow the parrot to accompany you as you explore different areas to further increase its friendship level.

Staying with the player:
While the parrot is on the player’s shoulder, it won’t lose any friendship.

Give your parrots a cozy home with five cage types: Basic, Golden, Fancy, Modern, and Christmas. You can place a parrot inside the cage by having it on your shoulder and right clicking on the cage, or by using a leashed parrot and right clicking on the cage. Untamed parrots stay inside when the cage is broken, so you can carry them in your inventory, while tamed parrots are freed to keep their friendship balanced.

Cages:

Basic Cage:
A simple cage that can hang beneath a solid block or be placed on the ground. Break it with a pickaxe.

Gold Cage:
A stylish way to use your gold ingots. Break it with a pickaxe.

Fancy Cage:
Features a fancy design with a small storage compartment at the bottom, offering nine rows of storage. Break it with an axe.

Modern Cage:
Available in various colors, with a larger storage compartment on top of the block. Break it with an axe.

Christmas Cage:
A special cage for a special time of the year! It has a small storage compartment on top. Break it with a pickaxe.
