The Great Beyond is brought to you by the same community (over at The Great Beyond) who host and play other modpacks and we decided to create our own! We've packed our exploration-focused pack to bursting with content from hundreds of mods so you can craft your own world, explore vast, far-away exotic lands, fight incredible bosses and tailor your player in your style.

We've created a pack, we'd like to play and we think you'll like it too. We've played (and continue to play) our pack and make it better, with more content and a balance between exploration, fantasy and magic and a sprinkling of tech.

Please note: Our modpack is still pre v1.0, and therefore it might sometimes have a panic attack or a tantrum or not do as it is told. We don't foresee any need for full world re-gens at this stage up to v1.0 and beyond, but please use caution as we stablise the contents.

We plan to build in a quest line that matches the content we've curated; exploration, world building, character growth and combat. You can then play a quest line that suits you; we have players that love to explore, fight and create epic armour and others who prefer to build machines, bases and places for others to explore. We've got you! Our quests will try to give paths for players to follow as they wish.

And of course, we'll have some bonkers bosses, mobs and structures for you to tests your skills on and (maybe) expand your loot!

• The world generation is very intense and can take several minutes. It has not crashed. Be patient and your world (and millions of structures) will be yours.
• It is very wise to run Chunky on your world before playing it (it is almost mandatory for multiplayer worlds) otherwise you will likely have tick lag when exploring the outer edges of the known map (chunk generation).

• Sometimes MCEF doesn't download. This seems to be a CF/client issue because it is included in the pack. The main menu in the client will be red with a big "MCEF IS NOT INSTALLED" message. It is safe to ignore and we are working on a fix.
