Welcome to Odystria, a sprawling land of uncharted roads, coastal trade, ancient ruins, and budding colonies. Build thriving settlements, explore forgotten continents, and travel by ship, sky, and rail as you carve your own odyssey across a vibrant world.

What Is Odystria?

Odystria is a vanilla-friendly exploration and colonization modpack designed for solo adventurers who love exploration, vehicular travel, colonization, farming, economy and trade, and generally immersive, RP-friendly gameplay. We didn't make this modpack super hard, nor is it outrageously simple—it's just a vanilla+ modpack using mods that fit in, with a focus on substance over style.

Featured Mods

We're not listing every dependency and lib here. But here's what you'll find in Odystria:

Travel and Exploration: Immersive Aircraft, Small Ships, Railcraft Reborn, Continents, Serene Seasons, Torchmaster, and (of course) Journeymap
All of the Food: Drink Beer Refill, Butchery, Spice of Life (Carrot Edition), and Farmer's Delight with ten delicious addons, including Barbeque's Delight, Berries and Cherries, Brewin' and Chewin', Corn Delight, Cultural Delights, Egg Delight, and more.
And a Bunch More! Minecolonies, Lootr, Corail Tombstone, Bagz+, Doggy Talents, eweukek's Musket Mod, Lightman's Currency, several mods from Macaw's collection, Torchmaster, and Tree Harvester
Oh, and the local, client-side QOL mods: AmbientSounds 6, Double Doors, Jade, JEI, Medieval Music, Neat, Sound Physics Remastered ... keep these, or ditch them if the RAM requirement is a little too hefty!

Speaking of RAM ...

This is a pretty hefty modpack. The server we're working on will have 16 GB of RAM to run this pack, and we very strongly recommend running this with a minimum of 6 GB RAM. If your computer can handle it, 10+ GB is even better!

Requires NeoForge 1.21.1. This modpack does not include a texture pack; you'll need to add your own. An official Odystria website and Java server are in the works, too.

I was not involved in the creation or development of any of the mods presented in this modpack (apart from occasionally bumming around in some of their Discord channels). Feel free to use this modpack on your own servers, play it solo, or whatever else strikes your fancy.

Also, yes, I am open to including other mods. But unless they very strictly adhere to the Odystria theme—vanilla-friendly, not cheaty/ too easy/ too hard, immersion-based, and fun—the answer will be a resounding no. That goes for vehicle mods that aren't vanilla-friendly, too. Sorry gang. But we're predominantly making this for a server!
