Scientific Rocketry 2 is a modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1. It is focused on expert-mode tech progression and space exploration, taking you through many different planets and many different technologies. It accomplishes this through custom recipes, materials, and multiblock machines. It is currently in Beta. Each planet will unlock new materials and technologies, taking you from basic alloys all the way to fantastical endgame materials. Interestingly, the pack will not have the typical set of creative item recipes. Instead, the endgame will involve creating megastructures to power up your base and perhaps determine what is really out there in space.

The pack contains many tech mods, such as Create, Immersive Engineering, PneumaticCraft Repressurized, Thermal Series, Mekanism, and more. These and other mods will form the backbone of progression, allowing you to build your factory and automate everything you need. A questbook will guide you through the main progression line and give tips for various mods. Many different options are available for automation, storage, and logistics to ensure your base can run at full capacity, including the newly updated Create 6 and its logistics system. The pack hopes to eschew ExtendedCrafting and Avaritia in favor of custom multiblock structures, which will be challenging both to create and to use.

The pack has many biomes from William Wythers' Overhauled Overworld, as well as a wide variety of building blocks for the more aesthetically inclined. The pack gives you the tools to gather resources quickly, first with strong manual mining tools, and later with automated miners and orbital lasers.
