☣️ The Spores Outbreak
The Spores Outbreak is a performance-optimized survival-horror modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge), centered around a world consumed by a spreading fungal infection. Civilization has collapsed, cities rot from within, nights are terrifying, and survival demands planning, restraint, and adaptability.
A mysterious spore-based organism has overtaken the land. Forests grow unnaturally dense, abandoned cities crumble under decay, and infected creatures roam relentlessly. Darkness is no longer safe, weather turns hostile, and every journey risks death.
This is not a rush-to-endgame pack. Progression is slow, tense, and punishing. Survival depends on scavenging, food management, smart movement, and knowing when to fight—or hide.

The Spores Outbreak is built from the ground up to be highly optimized and server-friendly. A large suite of performance and memory optimizations ensures smooth gameplay even with high mob counts, large ruined cities, long play sessions, and multiplayer servers.

🌍 Exploration, Survival & Horror
Explore bleak continents, overgrown forests, and massive abandoned cities reclaimed by nature and spores. Seasons change, weather degrades structures, and nights become genuinely dangerous.
Infected mobs are more threatening, darkness is oppressive, and environmental effects constantly pressure the player. Sound, visibility, and positioning matter more than raw gear.
Survival mechanics emphasize realism and immersion. Food quality and hunger management, limited healing and harsh consequences, traps, barricades, and secure bases, and loot-driven exploration with meaningful risk-reward decisions all play a major role.
Quality-of-life systems, detailed maps, backpacks, and proximity voice chat support both solo survival and cooperative multiplayer gameplay.
