Bee Buddies

This mod adds the ability to make friends with the Minecraft Bee. Simply offer one some sugar water to get it to become friends with you! They'll follow you around (though will head back to their hive at request) or just wander in your vicinity. They'll try to fight with you, and won't lose their stinger! If they find any flowers, they'll feed you some honey too! Sometimes, you can even find them taking naps on your head. If you want to be friends with a bee, but don't want them to follow you, telling them to sit will simply have them help out their hive instead of sitting still.

Offer them more sugar water to heal them, or a special drop of nectar to make them a pride bee! Currently, the available pride bees are: asexual, agender, aromantic, bisexual, demiboy, demigirl, gay, genderfluid, genderqueer, lesbian, nonbinary, omni, pan, poly, trans, vincian, and xenogender.

Compatability

Minecraft 1.21: Supports Fabric, Quilt, and Neoforge! Depends on:

• Fabric API or equivalent
• Sinytra Connector (Forge/Neoforge only)

Has builtin compatability with Item Descriptions!

Incompatible with Brainier Bees, as it completely rewrites bee ai.

Minecraft 1.20: Same as 1.21, but also supports Forge.

Minecraft 1.18+: No dependencies, but Fabric API is recommended.

Minecraft 1.16 and 1.17: Incompatable with the Lithium tweak mixin.ai.nearby_entity_tracking. Disable it in the lithium.properties config file by adding the line mixin.ai.nearby_entity_tracking=false to the end.
