Description

This (Forge) mod extends the height and depth vanilla limitations. Always wanted to build beyond the 256, 320, or 512 height marker? ... well now you can go 1024 blocks up. What about going deep below the bedrock barrier? Introducing Shattered World Limits Mod, an exciting new addition to your favorite game that takes you deeper than ever before. With this mod, you'll be able to explore the depths of the earth, venturing all the way down to Y-512, where you'll find a whole new world of caves and with all the underground features. The mod adds a variety of new cave systems, including winding tunnels, vast caverns, and underground rivers, all of which are filled with exotic plants and creatures. Whether you're a seasoned spelunker or a first-time explorer, the Shattered World Limits Mod will make your gaming experience more exciting and engaging than exer before. So, grab your pickaxe and get ready to discover the hidden wonders of Minecraft's underground world!

This is a quick demo from top height to the new depths of your world. Look at the highlighted areas. Forge only

Forge 1.19.3 showcase - March 5 Update

In the following video you will see a quick showcase of the 1.19.3 updated Shattered World Limits Mod - Forge only... This is a slightly lighter, and a more efficient code. The lava level has been removed about 95%, now the lava will be very rare while below -54. The implementation of some perlin noise caves is completely random and lighter on resources. You might find some average to gigantic cave formations. In some areas (deep down), the cave decorators will generate creating a more immersive experience. Will be introducing the vertical gradient... which is fully functional according to my plans (requires more testing, in order to measure performance limitations).

Cons -

It it a world generation mod, which will require the creation of a new world. The loading/saving time is significantly longer than a world without these modifications/features. This is not an OP mod, meaning ore generation has not been increased. Terralith datapack or any similar datapack users will be require to switch to Terralith mod or the use of a modified version of this mod (non-public release). Spectator mode will allow you to see the results faster ... but not recommended. It will significantly reduce your pc's fps.

Hope you like it ...

Fully compatible with Terralith mod and datapack.

1.19.2 Update

World height is 1024, but you can choose from -64, -128, -256, or -512 depth. Also for worlds with Y-128 depth, the deepslate will start at aprox. -64 ... For worlds with Y-256 depth, the deepslate will start at aprox. -128... For worlds with Y-512 depth, the deepslate will start at aprox. -256.

December update for 1.19.2

Here is a quick showcase of the new (updated) world generation for Minecraft 1.19.2, it changes the world height (Y 1024) and depth (options - Y -128, Y -256, and Y -512). Also, adds new custom geodes ... the deeper you go, the better they get. Last but not least, the deepslate/stone ratio has been balanced, and the lava level is now randomly modified/fixed conditioned to the world depth.

Forge and Fabric 1.19.2 showcase

Jan 16 Update Forge/Fabric 1.19.2 - Adding cave vegetation, enjoy the following showcase.

Also, take a minute to visit the Nether ... exploration has been expanded there too (Y 1024 to Y -512). New heights and depths applied (the End has been expanded too, but not noticeable since it still has the default floating islands).

No custom features right now for the Nether and the End. (Was not planned, but now it is part of the future plans)

Forge and Fabric 1.21 showcase ... soon!

How to use SWL with any Worldgen mod/datapack?

Just prioritize SWL ... how?

Have fun!

Will not work on 1.16.x or below

As of today, 1.17 version is not Optifine-friendly - UPDATE - This might be permanent - Issue for 1.17.x only. NOT AN ISSUE FOR 1.18 OR ABOVE.

Cause: Flickers when it exceeds 256 blocks in height. https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/issues/5768

Q : But, why does it flickers below Y 256 using this mod? Issue for 1.17.x only.

A: The altitude is not measured from Y 0 to Y 256, it starts from the bedrock floor up. In this mod's V2+ the bedrock floor is at Y -511, meaning - from Y -511 to Y -255 your screen will not flicker. Anything above that point (Y -256 to Y 1024) is not Optifine friendly.

Updated to 1.18 Forge
If using 1.18.1 and above, no more flickers while using Optifine.

===============================

SWL soon will become SWL dimensions - thanks all for your awesome support.
