Chivalry and Wizardry is a medieval modpack that aims to make the game slightly harder, while also allowing more opportunities for power with the plethora of mods available. With the quest book provided you have a lot of different mods to progress through, from choosing to become a mage in different fields of magic, or using mods such as Tinker's Construct and Tetra to make your own wonderful weapons. The Origins mod (with an addon made by me) is also present, so you can roleplay with friends, or visit dimensions like the Twilight Forest and the Abyss to find new bosses and items to make yourself more powerful. You may also be surprised by the presence of a new combat system in the form of Parry This!, which drastically modifies how you play even against mobs.

Among the most famous mods are Ice and Fire, infamous because of RLCraft, Tinker's Construct and Tetra which were already mentioned, Mahou Tsukai, Astral Sorcery, Blood Magic, Ars Nouveau in case you want to experience magic mods, Twilight Forest, The Abyss, Better End and Better Nether to make exploration more interesting, Apotheosis, Alex's Mobs, Create, Epic Knights, Mowzie's mobs and Mutant Creatures in case you find the base game content to be too boring.

Keep in mind this modpack is still in early development, it's been done by one person, me, and as such for any mistakes, bugs and inconviniences you can write it on the Issue page on the modpack, otherwise you can contact me at FrancescoKB#2412 on Discord. There's still some things that can and probably will be modified, the quests, although already formed, could be made better, and although now that it's in Beta many aspects have already been developed, fully realizing the project will take time.

With all this said and done, I hope that if you happen to download my modpack you'll be able to enjoy it as I have enjoyed making it. Go on and explore the world to your heart's content. This modpack is vast and the possibilities are endless, so you should never find yourself to be bored.

If you want to use Optifine, go ahead, but it's not necessary as Rubidum and Oculus exist and you can easily activate shaders with them, just head to the video settings and you'll find the option to enbale them. If not, you'll have to delete every Rubidium mod and Oculus.

Lastly, if you plan to use this modpack for a server make sure to remove Entity Culling, TransliterationLib and Not Enough Animations as they are client-side only.
