Upon loading up a new world you instantly spawn in the Aether and The goal is to get to the overworld and the progression is Aether - Nether - Overworld

The Aether is a realm aloft in the heavens, a high-borne dimension of endless skies. Within its drifting clouds dwell strange creatures, pale as frost, who hurl frozen orbs that strike with great force and cast their foes backward through the air.

This lofty world is rich in uncommon ores—metals and stones that rival iron, diamond, and coal in strength and purpose, yet are born of the sky itself.

Three mighty guardians rule this realm. The first is a hulking being of living stone, bearing a single, watchful eye, and it may only be brought low by the strike of a pickaxe. The second is the Valkyrie Queen, a fearsome sovereign of the clouds, whose strength is vast and whose wrath calls down lightning from the heavens. The third is a blazing entity of fire, who in his crimson, burning form cannot be harmed. Only when he casts forth a shard of ice, freezing his enemy in place, does he reveal his mortal weakness, and only then may true damage be dealt.

Each of these great foes yields a sacred key upon defeat, unlocking rewards of ever-greater power, so that one may rise in strength with each victory. In time, I intend to further shape this world, adding new trials and terrors, and to forge the Overworld and the Nether into lands more perilous, more rewarding, and far harder to conquer.
