Ever thought Minecraft was far too easy?, That the survival element of the game wasn't really that important? or that you run out of things to accomplish within 3-4 days leaving you completely unmotivated to keep playing?

If so then this is the Modpack for you!

ImprovedCraft aims to bring the perfect combination of challenge into Minecraft while also keeping the game feeling vanilla, while yes there may be crazy bosses and intense new abilities granted to already existing mobs, but i try my best to ensure that no features feel too out of place in the game and are all polished and fit together nicely,

to give you a well... IMPROVED Minecraft experience. 

Getting Started

Some of the important changes you should know about are....

Thirst

Dealing with Thirst is pretty simple start by making a flask like so

uses leather and leather patches, leather patches can be made by combined 4 leather at a crafting table

 

And a campfire cauldron using copper nuggets, charcoal, sticks and a copper cauldron (made with 7 copper ingots)

Using a bucket you can pour water into the cauldron and after sometime that water will be purified and can be collected via the flask

 

Mob Overhauls

Mobs have been vastly overhaul in many aspects including new ai and new variants depending on where you are.

All basic mobs that spawn below Y level 0 spawn as better, stronger variants

Have a look at some mob changes here

 

Creeper

Health reduced from 20 > 14

Creepers now move incredibly fast and can catch you almost at sprinting speed

Explosion radius is slightly bigger, and much bigger for charged creepers

Being in their blast radius can inflict mining fatigue and weakness

When Spawned under Y level 0 they will blow up blocks to reach you!

Zombie

Health Increased 20 > 35

Are a little bit slower

Take 0 Knockback

Will give you hunger 3 for 20 seconds on hit

When Spawned Under Y level 0 they will become 'Forgotten' gaining 10 health and 2 armor

Skeleton

Health increased 20 > 25

Are much faster

Will sprint away from you if you get close

Can spawn as a baby variant

When Spawned Under Y level 0 they will become an 'Undead Warrior' either wielding a stone sword or tipped arrows

Spider

Can spawn in varius sizes ranging from 0.75% to 150% smaller/bigger

Health and Damage scales with size

Speed scales inversed (bigger spiders are slower)

Can shoot webs at you

Normal Spiders give you slowness 2 for 4 seconds while Cave spiders give you slowness 3 for 6 seconds and will trap you in a web on hit

When killed can rarely explode into baby spiders

When Spawned Under Y Level 0 they will become an 'Armored spider' gaining health and Knockback Resistance

Some more changes you should know

-Enderman will aggro even at the slightest nudge

-Piglins, Pillagers, Enderman and Wither Skeletons all now have the ability to mine blocks!

-Witches are much stronger and will throw stronger lingering potions

-Phantoms no longer spawn in the overworld 

-Piglins will be aggro unless you have full golden armor

-Watch out for the dweller that lurks in the caves.....

And many more changes!

 

Quests

Two fully custom quest trees have been added and replaced advancements! 

 

[Quest Tree 1: Progression] This tree is made in order to guide your character progression and to help you get stronger!

[Quest Tree 2: The END] This tree is made to help your grand adventure to slay the Ender Dragon, it will guide you to multiple bosses, dungeons and even a new dimension!

 

Reworked Progression and Gear

A new tier of gear has been added, Copper! this will generally be the first set of Armor you make as it can be aquired quite easily

 

All gear past Copper is now made from platings which require a Smithing Table to create

This includes Iron, Gold, Diamond and Netherite 

recipes are the same as vanilla but with platings instead meaning resource cost is doubled

To balance this Iron gear has had about a 45% durabilty boost to tools and a 100% durability boost to armor

along with this all armor will now have a set bonus when you wear the full set, usually being bonus hearts

 

Trinkets

Trinkets have been added that can be equipped in one of your many Trinket slots some can be found in chests across the world while others can only be made using the new Gleaming ore, an ore that spawns exclusively in the deepslate layer.

Heart Containers

Heart containers are some of the most powerful items in the game, used to gain 1 bonus permanent Heart up to 5 total they can be made from heart crystal shards which are mined from giant hearts that spawn underground

They can be made like so using a mechanical crafter (follow the quest tree to learn how to make a mechanical crafter)

 

Temperature

Temperature is now present in the game

Temperature will only be a factor if you are in a Cold biome

Wetness is now a factor represented by the blue overlays around you health

Cold Biomes Include: Any Area with Snow or Ice

How to Deal with the Cold

• Craft Fur Armor, Fur can be collected by using a brush on either a Wolf, Polar Bear or Ocelot
• Getting Wet will make you get colder quicker, try to stay dry
• Staying near a campfire can warm you up
• Drinking Hot Cocoa can also help
• Netherite Armor has minor built in Frost Resistance

Wither

HP: 750

Multiphase boss fight with different attacks and behaviours as his health gets lower

Unique boss music!

Can now only be summoned in the Nether and is now summoned using soul stone instead of soul sand

Ender Dragon

HP: ???

New attack patterns and mechanics to the boss fight

Elder Guardian

HP: 190

Gained the ability to dash, dashing more frequently the lower its health gets

Summons homing mines that steal your oxygen

Completely revamped Ocean Monument

Ravager

HP: 140

Has a brand new charge attack, it will roar and then sprint towards you incredibly fast. if it hits a wall it will be temporarily stunned

Watch out for its increased knockback it can send you flying into the sky!

Can spawn naturally in random pillager group

 

NEW BOSSES

 

Captain Cornelia

The vengeful ghost of a pillager lost to the frozen sea

 HP: 200

Summoned by finding a shell horn

Shell horn can by found by killing the captain pillager of a ship found in the deep frozen ocean

can dash around incredibly fast

can only be defeated by exploiting her weakness, find out the weakness by exploring around in game

Elder Gear Golem

A robotic monstrosity created in the depths of the murky swamp

HP: 400

Summoned by using a wisp in bottle in the golems dungeon

The entrance to its dungeon looks like so, and can only be found in swamps

has a built in cannon on its back and will fire it at you

Adjudicator

 The Grand Wizard of the Woodland Mansion, riding his trusty stone golem

Adjudicator HP: 254 

Stone Golem HP: 120

Found deep within the basement of the newly revamped woodland mansion

will use all sorts of magic to kill you

The Lich

The Lich, Imprisoned away in its floating prison for 1000s of years

HP: 400

found in his ancient prison located far above the clouds

needs blood and parts of his staff to be summoned

will summon an army of undead to fight alongside him

The Stalker

 

Found in the Deep Dark

Incredibly strong can 2 shot you in full Diamond!

Be careful about smashing pots in Ancient Cities, it might awaken it

Shriek Worm

Found Rarely in the Deep Dark Dimension

can burrow into the ground showing only its head, be careful where you step!

Wildfire

The Guardians of the Nether Fortress

Their outer shields must be broken before they can take damage

will shoot fireballs in all directions

Mutant Mobs

All Mutant Mobs have a small chance to replace its respective mob when spawning

will drop powerful gear when slain

their parts can be used to make chemical X, a powerful concoction used to make mutant mobs

Maze Mother

 

The Beast that lies deep within the Deep Frozen Ocean

Will shatter the ice beneath you knocking you into the Frozen Waters
