Description
Messenger Birds Field Guide is a gentle, soft modpack designed for players who wish to both roam and lay down roots.
Wander through wildflower meadows, deep forests, sweeping mountains and beautiful new biomes that are plentiful with plants and flowers.
Discover deer among the trees, rabbits in the undergrowth, birds overhead and wolves in the wilderness. The world is saturated with creatures, both domestic and wild, waiting to be discovered and tamed. Walk through the woods with your dog at your side, saddle up and train your newest horse before setting out to explore, or spend a quiet afternoon collecting insects to keep and display in terrariums. Raise cats, donkeys and reworked farm animals, chase foxes and mice, watch butterflies drift through the tall grass, encounter bears on the hunt, and explore the ocean's new aquatic life.
Build cottages along the lakes, design barns and stables to stand in the open fields, tuck bakeries and markets into quiet villages and make little homes for every creature you love along the way. From weathered timber and garden details to cosy furnishings and farm pieces, this modpack provides a detailed palette for creating everything from castles to hideaways and towns to solitary escapes.
Plant orchards, tend to new crops and gather ingredients as your farm blooms. Pick fruit from the trees, fill baskets and barrels with produce, and transform your harvest into new recipes, from home-cooked meals to baked treats and fresh drinks. Here, farming is designed to feel slow, seasonal and rewarding – a reason to stay awhile, watch things grow and make something lovely from what the land gives you.
Stray from your path far enough, and you may find that the world holds stranger things too. Not everything in the woods is quite ordinary – you might just encounter the fae, an enchanted, small and winged species tucked away for curious players to discover. The fae may call on you for small quests and magical errands; all you have to do is speak to them. Some even say that among the land there are strange horses with horns and enchanted properties. Tread lightly, and they might reveal themselves to you. Perhaps you might even make a friend.
Wherever you wander, may you find something worth staying for. The messenger bird sings a story in the wind.
