Welcome to LiteHearted, a modpack based on a sprinkle of everything
Litehearted focuses on giving modded a feel that has been left mostly forgotten recent years, in that its a kitchen and sink modpack thats designed to feel like its own thing instead of just running the same mods everything else popular has with different lore
In the past few years, minecraft modding has felt kind of dull and repetative in my (Alextricle) humble oppinion, and when I heard other people felt the same, I decided to create LiteHearted, after a little while I actually had a team of a few people who helped me a ton in making it a reality (:
So... whats exactly different about LiteHearted?
Well... for starters it uses many alternative mods to what most modpacks use, for example instead of using better nether LiteHearted uses incendium, and instead of better end it uses stellarity
Secondly, it aims to make sure everything fits, something myself (Alextricle) and many others in the community have been very open about in the past few years is the issue with every modpack adding create... even if it does not actually fit into the modpacks theme, just to make a certain group of people happy... LiteHearted is not built for everyone and anyone, and its never going to attempt to be, it will never add a mod simply because its super popular (your free to make a fork that supports it however, see Q/A at the bottom for more info) instead any new mods added will be added because they add to the experiance the modpack is aiming to give
So, what exactly is that experiance its trying to give? well, it aims to be the perfect modpack for longterm modded worlds, with a sprinkle of some light lore hidden in the world, LiteHearteds goal is that and that alone, which leads us to the biggest feature LiteHearted has that sets it aside from other modpacks
LiteHearted will remain (so long as we can) updated alongside the basegame (1-2 patches behind at most)
we will never refuse to update to a new version because its 'bloat' because we dont beleive in the idea in the modding community that new updates are bloat, and we aim to do so in a way that keeps current worlds functional, for this reason only mods that have been maintained for years (or add no new blocks/mobs) are within LiteHearted
The second biggest feature of LiteHearted is that it aims away from 'statbloat' and trys to keep everything consistant and polished
What is statbloat? well, its basically the ability to have way higher stats than basegame, in short statbloat would (for example) be 'super enderite mega godshatter chestplate gives 20 armor points' its basically any equipment with stats way higher than the basegames balance, and it shatters gamebalance and makes modded items feel way too strong
As for keeping everything consistant and polished... by 1.0 LiteHearted will have complete support for every gearset and misc descrepancy (that we know of) in LiteHearted if a items missing (EX: claymore has no wooden version but knife does) we will personally add it instead of saying 'thats how it is' and doing nothing

Q/A:
Q: Can I build off this pack and publish it on curseforge/modrinth?
A: Yes, absolutely, it would be rude and crazy of us to say otherwise with fabulosly optimized literally being used as a buildingblock for this modpack (we do request you credit LiteHearted and link it anywhere in that forks description however)
Q: What difficulty should I play on?
A: You should play on one difficulty below what you usually play during your first world, as this pack is intentionally quite difficult, after that I suggest giving hard a try, as its the mode everything is balanced around
Q: Is there a wiki/guide for new players?
A: Sadly, not yet... but one is planned, as of now we are working on getting 1.0 polished and out as soon as possible, until one is out the advancements tab gives a generally good idea of what to do and when
Q: I found a bug/inconsistancy/have a suggestion, where should I report/put it?
A: You can leave any of those in the comments section or over on the discord and we will make sure to address them as soon as we are able to do so
Q: Does/will LiteHearted contain/ever contain AI generated code or assets?
A: No, it will never use AI generated code or assets, AI generation has many severe downsides, in both quality and performance, It also takes longer to use AI to get something working than to simply do it with your own abilitys and knowledge, it is only somewhat good for asking why something crashed (and is still normally wrong in that case) and thus we will never use AI generated code or art
