NaturaCraft is a modpack focused on the respect of nature, low technology and natural magic in a hostile world.
The beginings in NaturaCraft will be hard, you are weak, without any ressources, and survive through the first days will be a real challenge. You'll have to slowly adapt yourself and discover tools and, later, natural magic that will help you to live in rythm with the seasons and in respect with the nature around you in a hard but beautiful world.

Try to limit the felling of trees, prefer taking the wood you need from the fallen or the dead trees. You can break some leaves in order to collect sticks, but be respectful.
Live in harmony with the animals and passive mobs. Respect them, do not kill them, and of course do not eat them! Or your guilty consciousness will come and haunt you at night…

During the full moon, hostile mobs can spawn with special abilities, and much more will spawn during the deadly Blood Moon! Craft plasters or bandages to recover your health. Collect roots, berries or mushrooms and make a farm to have enough food before winter.

The Age of the Dragon / L'ère du Dragon
You could only play in the Overworld. You can also go further and enter into the Nether and flush out the lair of the Queen of the Ghasts. You will have to summon her to retrieve a key element that will allow you to open access to the End. Face the Ender Dragon to end its reign of terror. Visit the End, collect new resources and craft a powerful magical element.

Tips:
- Collect stones, sticks and plant fibers to craft your first crude tools. The 192 advancements have been thought as a guide through your way in NaturaCraft. The Pyrotech guidebook and the Roots Guidebook will also greatly help you!
- Try to find flint shards and dried fibers before the first night in order to make a first campfire or a crude torch (the vanilla torch cannot be crafted at the beginning of the game!).
- Make your home near a source of water, as you need to drink, and start planting seeds as soon as you can. Important information: water sources are not movable in NaturaCraft!
- Many recipes from vanilla items or even mods items have changed, press U over an item to see how you can use it in a craft.
- Killing or eating animals or passive mobs will have consequences! Killing zombie villagers too, as they still have a part of human soul inside them

- Tuer ou manger des animaux ou des créatures passives aura des conséquences ! Tuer des villageois zombies aussi, car ils ont encore une partie de l'âme humaine en eux.
The origin and "philosophy" of NaturaCraft
The idea for this modpack came from a very simple idea: I wanted to play with some rules that were a bit restrictive, just to increase the difficulty and to try to play differently, with new rules.
Animal Ethics
My first idea was quite basic : "play without killing a single animal". Because in a traditional Minecraft game you kill (a lot!) of animals, and I wanted to see if it was possible to do without that. There are other sources of food in Minecraft, so it isn't that complicated. Well, just to get leather could be a problem, but there are mods for that, and if you don't, you have to get your hands in the dirt and code yourself, and that's what I did at times.
So a basic rule is absolute respect for animals or passive creatures. And i came accross an ideal mod for this, which can cause serious problems for the player if he kills or eats a "forbidden" animal.
Agroforestry
To extend a little bit this idea of nature and especially respect for nature, I thought why not play by trying not to cut down a single tree. Some mods generate worlds with trees on the ground, maybe it was the way to try this idea of only cutting down dead or down trees. You can take a few logs from the big trees as long as you don't ruin their appearance. It's the same for leaves, you only break a few of them on the same tree, just enough to have the sticks or shoots you need. The leaves will then grow back slowly. Respect the trees could be optional as no mod forbid it, so you are free to ignore this aspect and cut all the trees you want, but the modpack was not thought in that way.
Sobering Evolution
Another idea that I wanted to put into NaturaCraft was to extend that moment that you live at the beginning of a traditional game of Minecraft, where you only have a few basic resources and you're equipped with very fragile tools. The problem with a classic game is that you can get a complete set of iron equipment very quickly: you craft a wooden pickaxe, then a stone pickaxe, you find a little bit of iron ore and coal and that's it. Clearly the challenge in Minecraft isn't there, and I wanted it to be in the beginning of the game where the player is a little bit helpless and you have to be careful because the slightest skeleton or zombie is a deadly danger. That's why I first chose the Pyrotech mod, which is precisely there to extend the beginning of the game. Then you have to progress technologically over a long path, until the player can build his forge and finally have his first iron ingot.
L'origine et la "philosophie" de NaturaCraft
L'idée de ce modpack est née d'une idée très simple : je voulais jouer avec des règles un peu restrictives, juste pour augmenter la difficulté et essayer de jouer différemment, avec de nouvelles règles.
Éthique animale
Ma première idée était assez simple : "jouer sans tuer un seul animal". Parce que dans une partie traditionnelle de Minecraft, vous tuez (beaucoup !) d'animaux, et je voulais voir s'il était possible de s'en passer. Il y a d'autres sources de nourriture dans Minecraft, donc ce n'est pas si compliqué. Le simple fait d'obtenir du cuir pourrait être un problème, mais il existe des mods pour cela, et si vous ne le faites pas, vous devez mettre la main à la pâte et coder vous-même, et c'est ce que j'ai fait parfois.
Une règle de base est donc le respect absolu des animaux ou des créatures passives. Et je suis tombé sur un mod idéal pour cela, qui peut causer de sérieux problèmes au joueur s'il tue ou mange un animal "interdit".
Agroforesterie
Pour prolonger un peu cette idée de nature et surtout de respect de la nature, je me suis dit pourquoi ne pas jouer en essayant de ne pas couper un seul arbre. Certains mods génèrent des mondes avec des arbres au sol, c'était peut-être le moyen d'essayer cette idée de ne couper que les arbres morts ou abattus. Vous pouvez prendre quelques bûches des grands arbres tant que vous ne gâchez pas leur apparence. C'est la même chose pour les feuilles, vous n'en cassez que quelques-unes sur le même arbre, juste assez pour avoir les bâtons ou les pousses dont vous avez besoin. Les feuilles repousseront alors lentement. Le respect des arbres peut être facultatif car aucun mod ne l'interdit, vous êtes donc libre d'ignorer cet aspect et de couper tous les arbres que vous voulez, mais le modpack n'a pas été pensé de cette façon.
Une évolution lente
Une autre idée que je voulais mettre dans NaturaCraft était de prolonger ce moment que vous vivez au début d'une partie traditionnelle de Minecraft, où vous n'avez que quelques ressources de base et où vous n'êtes équipé que d'outils très fragiles.Le problème avec un jeu classique est que vous pouvez obtenir un ensemble complet d'équipement en fer très rapidement : vous fabriquez une pioche en bois, puis une pioche en pierre, vous trouvez un peu de minerai de fer et de charbon et c'est tout. Il est clair que le défi dans Minecraft n'est pas là, et je voulais qu'il soit au début du jeu où le joueur est un peu impuissant et vous devez être prudent parce que le moindre squelette ou zombie est un danger mortel. C'est pourquoi j'ai d'abord choisi le mod Pyrotech, qui est précisément là pour prolonger le début du jeu. Il faut ensuite progresser technologiquement sur un long chemin, jusqu'à ce que le joueur puisse construire sa forge et avoir enfin son premier lingot de fer.
