Description
Atom & Dragon is a 1.21.1 NeoForge tech-and-adventure pack anchored by two endgame paths: Mekanism's industrial chemistry and Draconic Evolution's reactor-tier progression, with Create and Oritech filling the mid-game, while an RPG layer of dragons, NPC colonies, and affixed loot turns the world into something worth exploring rather than just building in.
Tech & Automation
Build full Mekanism factories: ore quintupling chains, gas and chemical processing, fusion and fission reactors, and the modular Meka-Suit with flight, night vision, jet boosts, and energy shields.
Push past the tech ceiling into Draconic Evolution: Awakened Draconium tiers, the Chaos Guardian boss fight, Draconic Energy Cores storing billions of FE, and Draconic Reactors that scale into the trillions.
Automate the mid-game with Create's kinetic contraptions, Oritech's machines and energy networks, and Pipez for cross-mod item and fluid transport. Refined Storage handles digital item logistics with native Mekanism integration.
Adventure & RPG
Found and grow an NPC settlement with MineColonies: recruit builders, farmers, guards, and miners; assign tasks; watch your town develop autonomously over real-time hours.
Hunt dragons, hippogryphs, sirens, cyclopes, and other mythic creatures through Ice and Fire CE, with rideable mounts, dragon-occupied dungeons, and skill-based combat.
Equip affixed gear via Apotheosis: weapons and armor roll rarities and prefix/suffix modifiers, with a custom enchanting system that scales meaningfully past vanilla's level 30 cap. Apothic Spawners makes captured spawners into a controllable resource.
Take bounties from village boards (Bountiful), recover artifacts with passive effects (Reliquary), and loot per-player containers in structures (Lootr).
Server & Multiplayer
Claim and protect land with FTB Chunks, organize groups with FTB Teams, and talk in-range with Simple Voice Chat.
Death drops consolidate into a lootable corpse entity via Corpse rather than scattering across the ground.
Performance baseline runs Sodium, Iris, Lithium, ModernFix, and Entity Culling on top of NeoForge via Sinytra Connector. High FPS, lower server tick cost, full shader support.
Quality of Life
JEI and EMI both available for recipe browsing; Just Enough Mekanism Multiblocks renders Mekanism's multi-block structures step-by-step for assembly.
Almost Unified collapses duplicate ores, ingots, dusts, and plates across mods into single canonical items so recipes resolve cleanly and JEI isn't cluttered.
Polymorph adds a recipe-selector overlay when multiple recipes match the same crafting pattern, eliminating shadowed-recipe confusion.
Sophisticated Backpacks for tiered, upgradable carrying capacity with item filtering, pickup, and integrated tools.
