Good performance.
Latest versions and features.
Better Minecraft experience (in my opinion).

Recommended requirements

Prism Launcher.
Adoptium JDK/JRE (Java 25, JDK is still preferred over JRE).
At least 4GB of RAM for the game.
OpenCL capable GPU (if you plan to use C2ME OpenCL Acceleration Module).

Recommended JVM arguments (Java 25)

-XX:+UseZGC -XX:+UseCompactObjectHeaders -XX:+UseStringDeduplication -XX:+AlwaysPreTouch -XX:+PerfDisableSharedMem -XX:-ZUncommit --enable-preview --enable-native-access=ALL-UNNAMED

add -XX:+UseTransparentHugePages if you use Linux.

-Xms and -Xmx should use the same size of ram for the best performance (e.g. -Xms 4096 -Xmx 4096).

Alternative JVM arguments:

-XX:+UseShenandoahGC -XX:ShenandoahGCMode=generational -XX:+UseCompactObjectHeaders -XX:+UseStringDeduplication -XX:+AlwaysPreTouch -XX:+PerfDisableSharedMem --enable-preview --enable-native-access=ALL-UNNAMED
