Description
This is a survival, futuristic RPG set in the Halo universe on a newly founded colony called Orionis. Communications from this colony ceased and you were sent there to determine what happened. The enemies and land are very foreign, and when you think it's already bad enough, a certain unfortunate cruiser crash lands into your world. Very immersive modpack if I say so myself.
This is a decently performance hungry and massive modpack. I'm just one guy and this is my first big pack so game balancing and stuff idk. I tried to make it fun and have some sort of progression system. Also there's a ton of cool features and the visuals are amazing (I'd say at least). I'd recommend making a creative world first, and changing your settings so it fits your play style(shaders, resource packs, controls). The controls are set up in a way that I like to play and so that it works with the gameplay, but not everyone likes to play like me. Theres a crap ton of controls so feel free to change what you need. This is heavily exploration based and there are a couple crazy big mods in here that I did not fully research before throwing them in, so sorry if there's game breaking stuff. This was meant for a video I'm making--subscribe to Cyanchicken--so it's gonna need a lot of changes in the future. I appreciate any and all suggestions to improve this pack performance and gameplay. Honestly, if there's someone who wants to help flesh out this modpack, leave a comment on my video and I'll see if we can get into contact through Discord.
There are crashes sometimes that I'm not sure how to fix, so if you are good with heavy modpacks and see a mod/feature that causes it, please let me know.
There's a ton of shaders in here so pick your favorites--some of them don't work with the sky resource pack in here so that's your choice if you want visuals vs immersion. Theres a range of shaders for different performance and you can turn the shaders off if its too bad so yea. I tried to make the game look good even without shaders.
I added my own Halo music resource pack and there MAY be COPYRIGHTED SONGS in there. As far as I know there isn't but if your making a video on this thought id warn you in advance.
Useful controls and tips:
"Shift+Tab"--open quests
" ` " to change perspective
"R" to reload
"Capslock" to dodge roll
Right click on ledges to grab on and jump to mantle up
Hold shift and then Jump to perform a super jump (two blocks)
Items fall on the ground so right click them to pick it up and shift to pick up everything in a range
Climb radio towers and right click the control box for a surprise!
Theres a ton of create mods that I have no idea how to use but I'm sure you guys can make something epic
Off hand has been nerfed BUT it was necessary for the DOTF gun animations to not look dumb. Id recommend just leave a lantern in your off hand.
