Description

You wake up in an underground bunker, disoriented and groggy, only to find a world overrun by the dead.

Welcome to "What We Lost," a 1.16.5 Minecraft modpack that takes you into a horror survival experience where the remnants of humanity struggle against hordes of the dead and the challenges of a shattered civilization.

What We Lost is designed for players who crave heart-pounding exploration, challenging gameplay, and irealistic battles against the undead, this modpack offers a semi-realistic journey where most surroundings reflect a real-world feel. The main objective of the modpack is to resemble influence from shows such as “The Last of Us” and “The Walking Dead.”

→ Building Remnants

There are several different ruined structures such as motels, skyscrapers, warehouses, prisons, and other overgrown buildings, each with their own unique loot.

  • Friendly Structures:
  • Cabins with survivors: Group of cabins where friendly survivors have taken refuge.
  • Abandoned hospitals: Medical facilities left behind that hold useful supplies.
  • Overgrown motels: Once thriving homes, now reclaimed by nature.
  • Parking garages: Multi-level structures with abandoned vehicles and loot.
  • Prisons: Large secure facilities, which may hold valuable items and refuge.
  • Skyscrapers: Large buildings that make a good refuge base.
  • Various other post-apocalyptic remnants..
  • Hostile Structures:
  • Bandit campsites: Outposts occupied by bandits, ready to defend their territory.
  • Bastilles: Strongholds occupied by large groups of bandits.
  • Abandoned Cities: Bandits have taken refuge in overgrown cities, hoarding all the loot.
  • Charred Lands Dimension Structures:
  • Junkyard: An eerie location in the Charred Lands dimension that holds valuable loot.
  • Crashed satellite: A crash site, also promising rare loot.

→ Arsenal of Weapons

There is a wide handpicked range of weapons at your disposal, from everyday objects like bats and wrenches to various guns, nuclear weapons, and spartan weaponry.

→ Post-Apocalyptic Dimension

Upon finding a mysterious item, you’ll find yourself 500 years further into the future of the apocalypse after a nuclear fallout, where mutations take place onto all inhabitants of the new world.

→ Base Building

Defend yourself by constructing sturdy structures, using modded fences and walls to protect against hostiles. There is a large variety of decoration and furniture mods to customize your base.

→ Biomes

With over 320 new biomes added, the world resembles a more immersive and realistic survival experience.

...and much more!

→ Loot System

Players will scavenge their way through the world, finding a variety of loot types within overgrown buildings, including police gear, military supplies, common items, and medical loot.

→ Mental State and Health

As you chase refuge through the screams and cries of the dead, you start to gradually lose sanity. You can support your sanity through friendly-like activites such as breeding animals or eating. Additionally, each body part has its own realistic health system that affects your movement and survival.

→ Thirst & Temperature

Staying hydrated and maintaining your body temperature is very crucial in a world like this. Keep an eye on thirst and temperature levels to ensure your survival.

The Evolution of the Undead

The relentless pursuit of the undead knows no bounds. They stop at nothing to quench their hunger, with modified AI that detects your presence through scent, blood, and sound. Additonally, after 30 days things get even scarier; zombies now figure out how to climb, making safe spots not so safe anymore. And if that wasn't enough, they keep changing. The longer they survive, the smarter they get. They begin acting like players, wearing advanced armor, calling for reinforcements.

Most importantly – the dead can charge at a player so fast that the player will become stunned for a couple seconds, which making close combat a real challenge.

This should result in your desired skin loading in with the animations. Animations are also compatible with 1.16.5 Better Combat mod which you would have to add yourself due to CurseForge’s policies.
