What is Dragonworld?
Dragonworld started off as a Hobby of mine. It slowly grew and more and more People started to play it and so i felt the need to update it and deliver a better experience. And oh boy i delivered…
My goal was to create an Experience unlike everything else and i'm pretty sure i did a good job with it.
It combines Magic, Rituals and Spellcasting with smithing a huge amount of weapons for close combat and ranged combat. With those new ways to become stronger, a new Skillsystem and a Quasiguide in form of a Questsystem ( not yet implemented in Version 3) you're able to explore a new World of Minecraft with medieval-styled Structures, new Villages and new Threads. Mystical and mythical Creatures like Dragons, Golems, Hydras and Goblins await your arrival and are up for a new Challenge. So gear up and give them a good Show, Knights and Sorcerers!
Build a new Empire and conquer mysterious Dimenions, create Fractions and let your Kingdom thrive under your Iron Fist! Gain Friends on your Way to become the strongest Being in this new, medieval-fantasy World.
Long Story short: This Modpack is for those, who are tired of technical Modpacks or just want to have fun in a fantasy World.
Features of Dragonworld:
- Overhauled Overworld with new Structures, Dungeons and Biomes, as well as better Versions of Vanilla Biomes.
- Many new Friendly Mobs, partly tameble, partly usable (no abuse of Mobs please, they have feelings, too).
- New Enemies in form of normal Mobs, Mob-Variations, Minibosses and Bosses spread through all Dimensions!
- A new Nether! Bigger and better than ever before and with much more to do and find as only getting Blaze rods and Netherite.
- A new End! Yes, you've heared that right. Endbiomes, Ores, Struchtures, Mobs and much much moore!
- 6 new Dimensions! All of them with new Materials, Mobs, Biomes, Bosses and more!
- Magic! Will you walk the Path of the Light or will you fall for the Darkness? Maybe you'll manage to balance the thin line between? It's up to you to decide.
- Quests! A custom Quest System with FTB Quests for Tool- and Armorsets, Enemies and Dimensions.
- Skills! An all new Skillsystem with which you're able to increase your max. Health, Speed and much more attributes!
- A wide Variety of new Weapons. Boomerangs, Spears, Halberds, Longswords, you name it! You're able to craft them or create your very own Weapons and Tools with a Smeltery.
- Future Content like the 1.17 and 1.18 features are partly implemented.
Why did the new Update take so long?
To be honest, I underestimated the amount of work that was standing in front of me. I'm a normal Person with a normal Job and this Modpack is nothing more than a Hobby of mine. At multiple points in making this very very big Update i just felt burned out. The Quests were a lot of work and originally i was using ProjectMMO for the Skillsystem. But there you had to adjust every single Weapon, Tool, Mob, Relic, Woorkstation, Biome, Dimension, Block etc. in the Config of this mod. It was too much for me so i sadly dropped the Mod and exchanged it for a much simpler Skillmod where i hadn't to adjust anything. I'm sorry you had to wait for so long, but now you can play this Modpack in it's, in my opinion, perfected state in 1.16!
What's your future Plans for this Modpack?
Take a break. This Modpack was build with Ice and Fire, Wyrmroost and Blood Magic as the Foundation. None of these Mods are available for an up to date Version. Maybe if enough of these Mods are returning, i might do as well. We will see. Until then, i hope you'll enjoy my Modpack as it is!
I have xyz Issue…
I know there are some technical Issues with this Pack. Sometimes it cancels World loading. That's completely normal. I can play it with a Render Distance of 13 Chunks and Shaders with 9GB of RAM assigned to it without a lot of Problems. If you have any Issues, it's quite unlikely that i'm able to help, since i'm not a developer, modder, coder or anything else like that. I'm just a normal guy that slapped some cool Mods together.
